Terra Clean Launches Land Aggregation Tenders for Wind and Solar Projects

Terra Clean, the wholly owned renewable energy subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), has initiated critical pre-development phases for two major green energy projects by floating tenders for land aggregation. The first tender targets a large-scale wind energy project in Gujarat, which is connected to the Interstate Transmission System (ISTS). This move addresses the significant bottleneck of land acquisition that frequently delays wind developers across India. Bids for the Gujarat wind project must be submitted by October 28, 2026, after which Terra Clean will evaluate proposals to secure site readiness before proceeding to turbine supply and balance-of-plant EPC contracts. Simultaneously, Terra Clean issued a separate tender for a 300 MW ISTS-connected solar project located in Andhra Pradesh, with a bid submission deadline of August 12, 2026. These actions align with IOCL’s broader strategic pivot to diversify its energy portfolio and transition into a major player in the clean energy sector. As India accelerates toward its ambitious target of 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, securing land in high-potential zones like Gujarat remains highly competitive.
